Let me introduce you to a strong, hard-working man. He is called a blacksmith. A blacksmith is someone who works with metal – like iron or steel – and makes things from it. He can make horseshoes, tools, swords, or even fancy metal gates!
This blacksmith is a big, strong man. He has a big, bushy beard – like a mountain man! He wears a heavy apron over his clothes – usually made of thick leather. The apron protects him from hot sparks and sharp metal pieces.
On his hands, he wears thick gloves – because the metal he works with is very, very hot. The gloves keep his hands safe from burns.

Now look! He has one hand holding a pair of tongs. The tongs are like big metal chopsticks. They are holding a piece of metal that is glowing dark red – that means it is very hot! In his other hand, he holds a heavy hammer – high up in the air!
He is about to bring the hammer down CLANG! onto the hot metal. Why? Because when metal is hot, it becomes soft and bendy. The blacksmith hits it with the hammer to shape it – like how you shape clay with your hands. He can flatten it, curve it, or make it into a point.
What is he making? maybe a horseshoe, maybe a knife, or maybe part of a fence. But he is focused and strong, and he knows exactly what he wants to make! Now, let’s follow the step-by-step instructions to learn how to draw this blacksmith!
