Let me introduce you to a very special kind of clock. It is called a pocket watch! A pocket watch is like a tiny clock that fits in your pocket. Long ago, before people had watches on their wrists or phones in their hands, they carried pocket watches everywhere!

A pocket watch is round and small – about the size of a cookie or a small orange. It has a shiny metal case around it, like a little shield. The case can be made of silver, gold, or other metals.

Most pocket watches have a lid on top – like a little door. When you press a small button, the lid pops open! Or you can open it carefully with your fingers.

Inside the case, there is a beautiful clock face (called a dial). At the very top of the pocket watch, there is a small ring – like a keyring. You can attach a chain to it. The chain connects to your clothes or belt, so you don't lose the watch!

Inside the pocket watch, there are many tiny gears and springs – like a little machine. You have to wind it up by turning a small knob (called a crown). When you wind it, the spring tightens, and the watch runs for many hours!

Step 1 Draw a circle.

Step 2 Draw three circles inside it.

Step 3 Draw three more circles inside it.

Step 4 Add two circles.

Step 5 Draw the scale marks between two circles.

Step 6 Draw the scale marks between the other two circles.

Step 7 Draw the hour hand, minute hand, and second hand.

Step 8 Draw a loop at the top of it.

Step 9 Color this pocket watch—and you're done!
