Most of the time, a pufferfish looks like a normal fish. It swims in the ocean. But when it gets scared, it does something amazing!
It drinks lots and lots of water, and its belly gets bigger... and bigger... and BIGGER! It puffs up like a balloon!
When a big fish wants to eat the pufferfish, the pufferfish puffs up. It becomes too big to fit in the big fish's mouth!

The big fish thinks, "This is too big to eat!" and swims away. It's a superpower to stay safe!
Pufferfish have a little secret. Their bodies have something that isn't good for other animals to eat. So, it's not a good idea to touch them. We can just look and think they are wonderful!
Some pufferfish also have tiny spikes that stick out when they puff. Today we'll learn how to draw a pufferfish. It's a bit challenging, so let's give it our best shot!
