Look at this wonderful thing! It is called a baby stroller. A stroller is like a little car for a baby. When a baby gets tired of walking, or when the baby is too small to walk at all, the stroller can carry him everywhere.

The stroller has four wheels. There is one wheel at each corner — front left, front right, back left, back right. Four wheels make the stroller very steady. When mommy or daddy pushes the stroller, it rolls along smoothly, even over bumps in the sidewalk.

The baby lies in a special bed that sits up high. The bed is soft and cozy, just like a little nest. The baby can lie on his back and look up at the sky, or he can turn his head and look at the trees and houses passing by.

Look at the left side of the stroller. There is a long handle sticking out. That is the push handle. Mommy or daddy can put both hands on the handle and push the stroller forward. The handle is just the right height so grown-ups do not have to bend down. They can walk normally while the baby rolls along in front.

Look at the right side of the stroller. Do you see that little roof? That is called a canopy. The canopy blocks the sun. When the sun is bright and hot, the canopy makes a shady spot for the baby. The baby can stay cool and comfortable, even on a sunny day.
