An antelope is a fast, graceful animal that looks a little bit like a deer. It lives mostly in Africa and parts of Asia.
It has long, thin legs, a short tail, and horns on its head. The horns are a bit like sticks that grow up and sometimes twist. Most antelopes are brown, tan, or white.
Antelopes are very fast runners. They run to get away from animals that want to eat them, like lions or cheetahs.
Antelopes eat grass, leaves, and plants. They do not eat meat. Some live in big groups called herds. Others like to stay with just a few friends or family.
Did you know the word "antelope" is the name for many different animals? There are over 90 kinds! Some are as small as a pet dog, and some are as big as a cow!
Some antelopes can jump very high—like jumping over a small car! In today's drawing tutorial, we'll learn how to draw a realistic antelope. It stands alert, watching its surroundings!
